Marilyn’s Natural Dyeing

I have decided to give it a go.  I have never done any before (except indigo which is a different process all together) so I will see what happens.  There is so much information about it out there on the internet, in books and from friends and colleagues that it is difficult to know which method to go with. I don’t like the idea of using some of the mordents mentioned so I am going with the idea of using either vinegar or salt.  I plan to use seasonal things from the garden and build up a collection of fabrics that illustrate the colours of the year. Although I am using spring flowers at the moment I am not expecting the resulting colours to be the same so it could be a wonderful surprise. Well that is what I am hoping for. We will have to wait and see what emerges from the bucket in the morning!
