Anya Gallacio at Lindisfarne Castle:
I saw the work of this artist whilst on holiday in Northumberland. The castle, which belongs to the National Trust, has been refurbished; this year they have left the building empty of furniture and invited Anya to exhibit.
“Taking inspiration from Getrude Jeykyll’s walled garden…Anya has created a landscape of colour using a combination of organic dyed blankets and geometric oak sculptures.”
This was an unexpected find and well worth the visit, I had not heard of this artist before, but seems to fit in with our ideas of ‘a sense of place’.
