“Thread: a thin cord of twisted yarn used especially in sewing and weaving.” (OED)
The threads which join members of Quinary together are a passion for and a commitment to textiles.
Members of the group graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in ‘Embroidered Textiles’, and then formed an exhibiting group. We are a diverse group who originate from various areas in England and also Germany; our skills range from hand and machine stitching, knitting and weaving, which is reflected in the variety of our exhibitions. There have been some exciting venues for these, including Coventry Cathedral, Germany, Canada, Walcot Chapel in Bath and the Lansdown gallery in Stroud.
Our aim is to explore and investigate the boundaries of textile techniques and to continue enjoying working together, continually asking questions about our own and others work.

Hello, I met Denise Jones last week at the Subversive Stitch Revisited symposium, she gave me this link to contact her. Could you please pass this message on to her, it was lovely to meet her and I’d like to keep in touch with her. Best wishes, Annie Michie
